Extended School Program
Before and After Care (3 to 12-year-olds)
The objective of our extended school program is to assist working parents who have limited or no support by caring for their children outside regular school hours. We strive to create an environment where learning is both enjoyable and relevant.
The Union City Day Care Program's extended school program offers services to children at our center and to students at nearby participating schools. The UCDCP, located on 47th Street, serves students from Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson Schools. The UCECLC, situated on 35th Street, caters to students from Jefferson and Washington Schools. Our program encourages children to engage in play, learning, and sharing within a cooperative group setting through imaginative activities and both indoor and outdoor play. We also provide homework help and academic support. Each classroom features a PC computer for educational and leisure activities.
